Here are the winners of the 2008 poster contest for our area schools. Hermitage, Skyline, Weaubleau and Wheatland fifth and sixth graders worked on posters for our "Water Is Life" theme.
The Hickory County Soil and Water Conservation poster contest is open to all students in the fifth and sixth grades in the county. One poster from each grade level was chosen as a first and second place winner at each school and an overall county winner from all posters entered. Cash prizes were given to winners. The posters were evaluated on the following criteria:
CONSERVATION MESSAGE – 50%
VISUAL EFFECTIVENESS – 30%
ORIGINALITY – 20%
This is the overall county winner submitted by Krista Gideon, Skyline 6th grade.
