Fiscal Year 2009 Cost-Share Sign-up
The Linn County Soil and Water Conservation District will be holding cost-share sign-up for fiscal year 2009. Sign-up will be held May 1-30. If you have signed up the last three years and did not receive cost-share assistance, you will automatically be placed at the beginning of the assistance list. We will send a letter to these landowners. If you receive a letter, you must still come in and sign up. All practices must fall within the cost-share guidelines for control of soil erosion to qualify for cost-share assistance.
Just a reminder that if a landowner received cost-share assistance this fiscal year (July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008) you will not be allowed to sign up this coming year.
This is 75 percent cost-share assistance with the maximums of $11,000 for terraces, $6,000 for ponds, and $3,500 for all other practices.
If you are unable to be present for the sign-up, you may designate someone to sign you up by completing an Authority to Represent form. These forms are available in the office and must be filled out prior to signing up. You may also access this form by clicking on the link below. No fax or phone-ins will be allowed for sign-up.
If you have any questions, please call our office at 660-258-5732.
Important Notice Regarding Future Newsletters
The Linn County Soil and Water Conservation District will be updating its cost-share computer program in the near future. This program includes the mailing list for newsletters.
This has given the district the opportunity to update the list of landowners who receive our newsletter.
We are asking that any landowner who wishes to continue to receive future newsletters to complete the form included in the April 2008 newsletter and return it to the Linn County Soil and Water Conservation District office. You may also call the district and leave your name and address, and we will be sure to include you in future mailings.
Please note that if you do not notify the office, you will not receive future newsletters.
Newsletters help us keep landowners up-to-date on important issues, including cost-share sign-up dates and equipment rental updates.
