Platte SWCD board meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the USDA Service Center, 1209 Branch St., Platte City, at 7:30 a.m.

Open House

In appreciation to our Platte County cooperators, the Platte SWCD will be celebrating 35 years of service and conservation in Platte County with an open house on Tuesday, March 25, 2008. We hope you can join us as we honor this year's outstanding conservationist and showcase our accomplishments. A complimentary lunch will be served between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Soil Stewardship Week

The Platte SWCD encourages you to think about your personal responsibility to be a good steward of natural resources, including water, during its annual Stewardship Week celebration. The National Association of Conservation Districts (NACD) has proclaimed April 27 to May 4, 2008 as Stewardship Week with the theme Water is Life.
