Board Members

Willard Kauffman - Chairman

Willard was elected to the SWCD board in 1995. Willard has a farm north of Collins and raises limousin cattle. Willard has been a math teach at Osceola High School for many years and retired a few years ago. It wasn't long until the school was recruiting him to come back and teach part-time. He now teaches classes three mornings a week. Willard actively participates in district activities.

Terry Strope - Vice-Chairman

Terry was elected to the SWCD board in 1995. Terry farms in northwest part of our county. He has been a lifelong farmer with his father on the family farm. Terry and his wife have three daughters.

Susan Abbott - Treasurer

Susan was elected to the SWCD board in 2001. Susan raises Angus cattle on her family's farm near Taberville. She also works off the farm part-time in Nevada. Susan loves to hunt and travel and has recently married.

Kathy Conrad - Board Member

Kathy was appointed to the SWCD board to finish the term of a prior board member who moved out of his area. Kathy was then elected to serve in 2005. Kathy lives north of Lowry City on her family farm and raises cattle. She is active in several farm related organizations and many activities in the area.

Saralee Jamieson

Secretary

Saralee serves on the SWCD board as secretary as appointed by her employer, the University of Missouri Extension Service. She moved to Osceola in 1996 and has served on the SWCD board since that time.
