Board Meetings are held monthly on the second Wednesday of each month

 

1- No-Till Drill Demonstration field day will be held 3-28-13 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the farm of Larry Israel.

2-4th Grade Soil Demonstration at schools are taking place March-April.This is a fun experience for the kids to learn about soil.

3- Stewardship Week is 4/28/13-5/5/13. Earth day is 4/22/13.Come by our office and recieve a free tree or shrub during office hours on Friday April 26, 2013

4-SWCD will be set up at MDC fish hatchery in Branson Mo. for the annual earth day event from 9-2 p.m. Saturday, April 20th. Good day for the family to come and visit us and the other stations for a some great education and fun.

5-Watch for other upcoming field days.Coordinating with the University Of Missouri extension office for a Weed /Brush Field Demonstration. SWCD will be looking to another field day to demonstrate a spring development.

Our office has an ongoing desire to help area landowners with conservation practices, as well as offering other opportunities to educate and interact with landowners to improve land and water usage. We offer field days, pasture walks and other opportunities from time to time, so the landowners can see how these practices help with their overall farm management.
